Legislative Outreach Forum - St. Johnsbury, VT
February 22, 2017 between 1:00pm and 4:30pm
As part of a community outreach program, Senator Jane Kitchel has scheduled a community visit in St. Johnsbury, VT on February 22, 2017, at 1 pm. Senator Kitchel will bring members from three Senate Committees; Appropriations, Institutions, and Transportation, to discuss important topics that are affecting Vermont communities.
The event will begin with a tour of the St. Johnsbury Correctional Center led by Corrections Commissioner Lisa Menard. After the tour, the group will convene at the Welcome Center to discuss transportation, water quality, housing improvement strategies, state college merger, and economic development. Representatives from the Northeastern Vermont Development Association (NVDA), Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans), Lamoille Valley Rail Trail (LVRT), Town of St. Johnsbury, and Vermont State Colleges will provide updates and discuss priorities. At this forum attendees will have the opportunity to ask legislators about state initiatives and upcoming legislation that impact Vermont communities.
The intent of this sessions is to host an open dialogue between legislators, town officials, business owners, stakeholders, and the general public.
The event begins at 1:00 pm at the St. Johnsbury Correctional Center and moves to the Welcome Center at 2:00 pm. This forum is open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

Availability of Monitoring Data for Unregulated Contaminants for ST JOHNSBURY WATER SYSTEM
Our Water System has sampled for a series of unregulated contaminants. Unregulated contaminants are those that don’t yet have a drinking water standard set by EPA. The purpose of monitoring for these contaminants is to help the EPA decide whether the contaminants should have a standard. As our customers, you have a right to know that these data are available.
