Department Services

  • Fingerprinting

    The St. Johnsbury Police Department is the local agency for fingerprinting. Please contact the Police department at any time to schedule an appointment. The current price is $35.00, payable in cash (please bring exact change) or a check made out to the Town of St. Johnsbury. You will be required to present a written authorization indicating what you are being fingerprinted for as well as two signed forms of identification.

  • VIN Checks

    Vehicle identification checks are provided to the residents of the special services area at no charge. All paperwork must be completed before a VIN check can be done.


    There is a $5.00 charge for VIN checks provided to residents who live outside the special services area.



  • House Checks

    House checks are extra patrols around your property when you are out of the area for an extended period of time (vacation, seasonal, etc.) Property is checked twice daily for as long as needed. There is no charge to residents in the special service area.

  • Crime Stoppers

    Contact the Crime Stoppers tip line at (802) 748-2222 if you have information regarding a crime that was committed, we want your information, not your name
